Spooky Wall Decorations

Yep...sure you've all seen this type of wall decoration before...using scrapbook paper over canvas for wall art. I did the same. I took the picture before letting it dry...and now that I look the air bubbles are just about gone...I keep going back and smoothing it out so I am sorry these pictures look so badly! Anyway...gives you an idea for Halloween pictures :) I used Cosmo Cricket's Haunted line. Makes for fun everything!

Wedding Frames

A friend of my mom's son was getting married this weekend and she asked me to do two frames with their engagement pictures. The colors were a little bit harder for me as it was a cranberry red and green. I went through several different greens trying to find the right green...and I'm still not sure I hit it just right. Anyway, Congrats to the happy couple!

Mothers Day

This card also has the "Happy Mother's Day" on the inside, but I forgot to take a picture of it. I did 3-D the image on this one and didn't on the second one.

Maternity Cards

I love, love, love silhouette images. It reminds me of when I was younger and the lady who lived across the street from my grandmother would trace out my silhouette and frame it for my mom. I loved these images because whether for a bridal shower invitation, a card for a gift or a Mother's Day card...they all seemed to work. Naturally, I threw in the back color for gender specific. PS, I wish I looked as good as that silhouette does when I was pregnant! HAHA Mine would have been more like a beached whale waddling along instead of "skipping". But, hey, to each his own!

Loads of Fun...

My friend, Emily's son is turning 5 this weekend. I made this card cause he is a boy's boy....loves anything little boys like. I found a book perfect for him at the Blueberry Patch today. And while it might be a little too old for him...he can grow into it. It gives lots of cute ideas for the outdoors. I have no clue how to shop for boys...lol

Kentucky Derby

Some invitations I did quickly this evening. I have played with different layouts, animals and other ways and this was the best I could do for our Derby party next month....Thanks Google images :) LOL

Christmas Book

I made this book for my mom for Christmas. I didn't post it before because I didn't want her to see it...and then I forgot about posting it! LOL Anyway...it was with the Cosmo Cricket Jolly By Golly line. (which I adore!) The colors worked excellent with the colors in the pictures. I couldn't have asked for a better match!

Wedding Bells

I actually got asked to do two wedding cards. I loved the first one I did...the second one, I loved the saying...but I played for an hour with colors and texture and that was what I came up with. I may do something completely different before I deliver them on Monday...we'll see....but that is what I have so far.

Biking Memories

I liked this paper (same as the rain & umbrella paper)...it gave me a daddy feel. I think it is great for Father's Day or just a note to a daddy. Maybe even a brother? Either way....I loved the vintage style of the paper.

I 3-D'd the bike too. I actually cut two and and the one is flat on the bottom while the other is on top sitting up off the paper.

Rainy Day

I made a few of these. I loved the background paper and the little umbrellas. They actually were from the same paper line that I found a stack of at a craft store on the clearance isle (I heart sales!)

I 3-D'd the umbrella so it sits off the page and added a little note on the top. I felt that these cards were good for lifting a friends spirits or just to say hi.

Then, I'm working on some Mother's Day stuff and of course, we've been busy with Easter - made some really cute easter sugar cookies this week and I forgot to take a photo before the kids ate them...ALL of them! LOL Oh well, maybe next year!

Show and Tell

Show and Tell Green

First off...let me just say how happy I am on who Blue Cricket is featuring this week...Last week I had a really bad experience with some local charmers (from a different company) and no offense to their company and them but the personalities just turned me off and I walked away really wanting to buy...but just couldn't do it.

So...to see this company http://lilylane.com/Welcome.html I'm thrilled beyond words....they do exactly what the other company did but...one thing I did notice, they are a little less expensive! But, they guarantee their quality so don't confuse yourself that just because they are cheaper - they would be made cheaper. Just be happy that there is another company doing these at a better price (and with smiling faces!)

They have other charms too...not just photo charms. But, I personally LOVE the photo charms for Mother's Day ideas!!! :)

So thank you Blue Cricket Design and Thank you LilyLane! I'm happy today!

Clipboard

I did one of these for Madison's teacher (when she was at school) and I liked it so much, I did one for her...at Christmas time. I just forgot to post it! LOL Anyway...it's fun, girly and great for car trips!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day is right around the corner....I'm getting started on a few odds and ends before hand. :)

This was a stamp used with water colors. I'm still trying to decide if I like water colors....ugh. They are pretty...but if you don't get it just right - it bleeds...and you have to have special paper...or it doesn't work. Pain in the you know what. But, I still enjoy it!

Black & White Bars

We did a test run on these today. I'm making them for the Kentucky Derby party in May and I wanted to make sure they would taste okay. Naturally, I started my "gotta get thin by this summer" quest today...so I was only able to take one bite... :( But, they did taste great. I packed them all up (with exception of two - one for each of my skinny kids) and sent them to my mom's office. And then she got mad because they are all dieting there too! LOL

Oh well.... :)

Eggsellent

This is the first batch. Second batch will be completely different...

I'm doing a lot of different eggs this year. Eggs that we will keep for following years so I don't have to torture myself anymore. This egg decorating isn't all it's "cracked" up to be! :)

Anyway...the nice thing about this was it didn't matter how big my hole was when I was blowing out the stuff inside. (PS thank you Bubba for enjoying those eggs).

I used colored tissue paper. I actually mixed a little paint color in with the Hodge Podge. Had I thought about it...I would have used maybe like the purple paint with the pink tissue paper...giving it a different look. Or the yellow on the green or green on the yellow. Just something to give it a different feel. Anyway...I didn't think of it. So this is it. And now I'm really thinking of hanging them from ribbon....and if I do, I'll post those pictures later.

The best way to do this...do one side at at time. Allow to dry (under a fan shouldn't take but about 10 minutes). Do other side. If not...you will become one big sticky mess. I attempted this with my six year old and we were almost stuck together by the time we were finished. I'm serious too....LOL

I'll post better pictures in the morning. The lighting tonight isn't great and I'm tired...so forgive me for the one shot!
