A long time friend, Melinda's son is turning one. I got the photo invitation and just knew, that October Afternoon's Farm Fresh would be PERFECT for his card and a frame! Afterall, he was on a John Deere tractor! ;)

Life

Life has been crazy lately. Crazy good though. I started homeschooling...(as seen on my other blog www.katiebuglj.blogspot.com) It is actually "virtual schooling" but anyway...it is going great! We had friends staying with us for about two months and then the father got a job so they just moved up to Georgia...so I'm back to "crafting". Trying to get things together. My collection of cards is getting thinner...so I needed to get it back up. Not to mention, I found a new company that I heart. October Afternoon. So, I ordered some of their things through the local Scrapbooking store and JUST now having the chance to really play with it and ohhh....I really like it! Fun. So, I'm here...for the one person who really cares! :)

October Afternoon - Ducks in a Row

Adding Stickles to the page really seemed to pop it. I felt as though there was just that little something missing...and then BAM...I found it! :)

I had some Martha Stewart Baby Stamps that I felt really went well with the October Afternoon line. Very vintage feeling. The green bow helped to break the space between the two colored backgrounds.

I used 3D Zots for the sun and Cat's Eyes around the clouds to give them more depth. You are My Sunshine is one of my most favorite songs to sing to my girls...I loved having that sticker in my pack! :)

One of my favorites books is the "The Little Big Book for Moms"...my main reason for the love affair...the artwork. When I first saw Cosmo Cricket, it was a reminder of the art illustrated in that book and so naturally...I had to get a few of their pieces and work up a few cards. This one is from the "Earth Love" and "Mr. Campy".
